Since 2007, Glenn Rubenstein has helped brands grow their business through authentic advertising, from the earliest days of YouTube sponsorships to today's biggest podcast ad campaigns.
Glenn founded ADOPTER Media at the start of 2016 as an independent podcast advertising agency. Now in its tenth year, the agency has planned, launched, and managed more than 1,500 campaigns for startups and established brands. To date, they have placed over 150,000 ads across 25,000+ podcasts and YouTube channels, while building strong relationships across the entire podcasting industry (from networks to independent creators).
Glenn's work sits at the intersection of media and creative. In 2007, as a writer and director on lonelygirl15, he co-wrote the first paid brand integration on YouTube (for Hershey's Ice Breakers gum). More recently, he co-wrote the Magic Spoon ad on The Weekly Show with Jon Stewart that was nominated for Best Ad Read at the 2026 Ambie Awards.
Glenn is the author of "Podcast Advertising Works: How to Turn Engaged Audiences Into Loyal Customers", called "the definitive guide to podcast advertising." It was the first complete guide to advertising on podcasts, earning praise from podcasters and advertisers alike.
Recognized as an expert on podcast advertising, Glenn has spoken twice at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show, at Advertising Week in New York and Advertising Week Europe, and numerous times at Podcast Movement. He is regularly quoted in industry coverage, is a frequent podcast guest, and hosted the first podcast dedicated to podcast advertising.

Fun fact: As a teenager, Glenn was a video game journalist for the San Francisco Examiner and the founding console games editor at GameSpot. His expert witness testimony was cited as a persuasive argument in deciding the Game Genie trial (Lewis Galoob Toys, Inc. v. Nintendo of America, Inc.).
